In all these petitions, the limited relief sought on behalf of the petitioner is that an appropriate direction may be issued to the competent Magistrates in all these petitions, to expeditiously dispose of the applications filed on behalf of the petitioner, under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (Securitisation Act). by PRIYA KAMBLI Date:

We find that the applications filed under the said provision, have been pending before the Magistrates for considerable period of time and therefore, an appropriate direction can certainly be issued for their expeditious disposal, as delay in disposing such proceedings would frustrate the whole purpose of the Securitisation Act. 3.

In view of the above, the writ petitions are disposed of by directing the competent Magistrates to take up the applications filed by the petitioner under Section 14 of the Securitisation Act for consideration immediately. The said Magistrates shall dispose of the applications within a period of four weeks from today. No further time shall be granted.

4.

Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. (SHREERAM V. SHIRSAT, J.) (MANISH PITALE, J.) Priya Kambli 2/2
