The two Petitioners herein have submitted that they had submitted nomination and are candidates in the election of the housing society scheduled to be held on 14th December, 2025. Earlier they had submitted an application dated 17th November, 2025 before the Returning Officer i.e. the Respondent No.2 herein seeking inspection of the nomination papers of the Respondents Nos. 4 to 24. However, no favourable order was passed on such application seeking inspection. Aggrieved thereby, the Petitioners have preferred appeal before the Respondent No.1. Their grievance is that till today, no order has been passed by the Respondent No.1Assistant Registrar, Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), CoDigitally signed by PRIYA RAJESH SOPARKAR Date:

The learned counsel appearing for the private Respondents submits that he would have no objection, if the inspection to the nomination papers of his client is permitted by the authority. 3.

If that be so, considering the fact that the appeal is pending before the Respondent No.1 and after hearing the submissions of the learned AGP appearing for the Respondent No.25, we disposed of this Writ Petition, by providing that the Respondent No.1 may consider the prayer made in the appeal by the Petitioners, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a week from the date of the receipt of the certified copy of this order. 4.

Since the private Respondents do not have any objection to the inspection of their nomination papers, the Respondent No.1 may keep that in mind while passing any order. We, however, make it clear that election scheduled on 14th December, 2025 shall not in any manner be disturbed by the order of this Court. 5.

The Returning Officer shall retain all documents including nomination papers of the Petitioners, awaiting further order from Respondent No.1.

Writ Petition stands closed.
