The learned Advocate for the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority, Pune, Shri Sakhadeo has tendered a compilation of documents (12 pages), as a part of stage-wise compliance of the directions of this Court. The said compilation is taken on record and marked as 'Y-5' for identification. 2.
The learned Amicus Curiae, Senior Advocate Shri Shaikh informs us on the basis of the research that he has made that these Petitioners Companies seem to have violated around 43 different statutes under the various labour legislations. The Deputy Commissioner of Labour noticed only five non-compliances. He, therefore, submits that it would be necessary to gather as to how many employees/trainees/contract labourers/probationers etc., are deployed on the manufacturing and core activities of these three companies. He rightly suggests that the Deputy Commissioner of Labour should exercise his powers and carry out an in depth
verification of the records which would be advantageous to collate information as regards the number of hands engaged directly or indirectly in the manufacturing activities/core activities of these companies.

We, therefore, direct the concerned Deputy Commissioner of Labour to carry out visits in these companies in between 11/05/2026 to 29/05/2026, without prior intimation and verify all the records for the last 12 months pertaining to the engagement of hands in all activities related to the manufacturing process, core activities, as well as ancillary activities. We grant him the authority, which he has, to seize documents or take copies of the documents/registers which would be relevant and advantageous to enable the learned Amicus Curiae to assist the Court. The Deputy Commissioner Labour would tender his report company-wise to this Court on the next date of hearing in the matter. 4.
