Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioners. 2.

The challenge in this Petition is to an order dated 14 November 2025 passed by the learned Judge, City Civil Court, whereby the Petitioners - Defendants have been directed to produce all the documents as given in prayer clause (a) of the Notice of Motion, else file an affidavit stating that the documents are not in their custody.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners have an apprehension that the Court may pass further order as indicated in terms of prayer clause (b) of the said Notice of Motion, and, that may cause prejudice to the Petitioners.

By the impugned order, the learned Judge, City Civil Court, has given an opportunity to the Petitioners to make a disclosure as regards the custody SSP 1/2

45 wp 16775 of 2025.doc of the documents and file an affidavit. At this stage, the impugned order does not warrant any interference in exercise of writ jurisdiction. If any adverse order is passed, it would be open for the Petitioners to assail the said order. 5.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioners submits that the suit is of the year 2005, and, therefore, the hearing of the suit be expedited, as it is for final arguments.

Since the suit is stated to have been instituted in the year 2005, the learned Judge, City Civil Court, is requested to make an endeavour to hear and decide the suit as expeditiously as possible, and, preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order. 7.

The Writ Petition stands disposed.
