Since the statutory appeal filed by the petitioners challenging order passed under Section 78A of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960 is pending, limited protection till the disposal of the appeal needs to be granted considering gravity of charges levelled against the petitioners.

Hence, until further orders, there shall be interim relief in terms of prayer clause (b).

It is made clear that pendency of present writ petition shall not preclude the appellate authority from deciding the appeal on its own merits.
