02-05-2025 The Official Liquidator has tendered across the bar application seeking permission to transfer the amount of Rs. 71,91,869/- along with accrued interest thereon to the Provident Fund Department for necessary action. Same is taken on record. It appears that the Official Liquidator had invested the amount belonging to the corpus of employees provident fund in Fixed Deposit. Initially, the amount of Rs. 17,00,000/- was invested and by passage of time, the total accumulated amount is about Rs. 72,00,000/-. Hence, the present application. The details of employees are not known. The question, therefore, is how will the Provident Fund Department take necessary action. In the circumstances, the presence of authority viz. Provident Fund Commissioner, Akola appears to be necessary. The Official Liquidator shall make Provident Fund Commissioner, Akola as party non-applicant to the present application. The amendment be carried out forthwith.

Issue notice to newly added non-applicant, returnable on 9-5-2025.
