Heard learned counsel for the respective parties at length. 2.

By the present petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, the petitioners have alleged that Respondent-contemnor Nos. 3 and 4 have willfully failed to comply with the order dated 07.12.2023 passed by this Court in First Appeal No. 365 of 2009, wherein it was observed that the respondents/acquiring body and the petitioners have settled the dispute pertaining to compensation in respect of land acquisition, and that the petitioners were held entitled to receive compensation in terms of the Lok Adalat Award. 3.

It is pointed out that on 23.01.2026, Respondent Nos. 3 and 4 / contemnors have deposited the entire amount of compensation of Rs.20,46,840/- before the Registry of this Court. Therefore, the order dated 07.12.2024 passed by this Court in First Appeal No. 365 of 2009 has been duly complied with, and the contempt stands purged. 4.
