Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.
By present petition, the petitioner is assailing the order dated 25/03/2017 passed in Lok Adalat in LAR No.137/2012. 3.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he was present before the Lok Adalat at the time of passing award. It was agreed before the Lok Adalat that respondents shall pay the amount within a period of six months from the date of order. But the amount was paid to the petitioner after 2.5 years, therefore, they are claiming interest for the aforesaid period.

The petitioner has alternate remedy to claim interest before the
Dilwale 2 107-WP-14043-21.odt competent authority, therefore, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings claiming interest on the delayed payment.

If such application claiming interest is filed, the concerned authority shall consider the same and pass an order in accordance with law.
