Civil Application No. 3721/2025 is filed by the successful auction bidder/respondent No. 5 in the writ petition, seeking directions from this court to release the amount in favour of applicant which was paid to the respondent authorities for the machinery sold in auction. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the applicant/respondent No. 5 in the writ petition submits that the applicant has paid the purchase money in the year 2020 and the machinery has deteriorated beyond the point and as such, he submits that he does not wish to proceed further with the auction and he wishes to withdraw the said bid. 3.

Considering the long pendency of this writ petition and considering that the machinery put in auction may have deteriorated substantially, we

WP 6312/20 deem it appropriate to permit the auction bidder/respondent No. 5 of the writ petition to withdraw the auction amount deposited with the respondents/State authorities. The application is allowed accordingly and disposed off.

In view of the disposal of the civil application and as there is no other auction bidder, nothing survives in the writ petition. The writ petition is also disposed off accordingly.
