On 19.01.2026, when the matter was called out, the petitioner was personally present before this Court and filed an affidavit, duly notarized, seeking withdrawal of the petition. The said affidavit was filed in the presence of the learned Senior Counsel along with the learned Counsel, who identified the petitioner. Accordingly, an order permitting withdrawal of the petition was passed on the said date. 2.

Thereafter, this Court received a letter through the Registry stating that the petitioner had withdrawn the petition under some pressure. In view thereof, the matter was listed today by the Registry to verify the said

Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is personally present before the Court and reiterates that the Writ Petition be disposed of as withdrawn. It is further submitted that the petitioner has not addressed any such letter to the Court. 4.

In view thereof, the order dated 19.01.2026 permitting withdrawal of the Writ Petition stands maintained.
