This is an application for condonation of delay of 688 days caused in filing the first appeal.

For the reasons stated in the application, the application deserves to be allowed in the interest of justice as the delay is neither deliberate nor intentional. The claimants are not entitled to receive the interest for the delayed period. Hence, the order:

ORDER

(i) The civil application is allowed.

(ii) The delay of 688 days caused in filing the first appeal is hereby condoned.

(iii) The civil application is disposed of.
