DATED : 19 September 2025 P.C.:- 1.
The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that within an hour from now copy of the Contempt Petition will be served upon Ms. Raje, learned Government Advocate. 2.
This Petition alleges contempt of our order dated 10 October 2024 by which the Charity Commissioner to dispose of the Miscellenous Application referred to in paragraph 5 of our order as expeditiously as possible in any event within 10 weeks from the date of the order. Now, it is pointed out that This order is corrected pursuant to speaking to the minutes order dated 25 September 2025.
904-CP-584-2025 SPK TO MIN..DOCX despite the expiry of ten weeks, the Charity Commissioner has not disposed of the applications. The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the hearing before the Charity Commissioner is now scheduled on 22 September 2025. 3.
Accordingly, we expect the Charity Commissioner to proceed with the hearing on the said date and that he disposes of the Applications on their own merits at an early date. In the peculiar circumstances of this case, we extend the period for disposal upto 31 October 2025.
4.
Compliance report in the above terms, must be filed by 7 November 2025.
5.
For the present, we dispose of this Contempt Petition/ However, if we find that the Petitioner is required to once again approach this Court because of alleged disobedience of the directions received by our co-ordinate bench in its order dated 10 October 2024, then, we will have to consider whether action under the Contempt of Courts Act is warranted.
6.
At our request of Ms. Raje states that an authenticated copy of this order will be immediately communicated to the concerned Charity Commissioner/Assistant Charity Commissioner.
(Advait M. Sethna, J) (M.S. Sonak, J.) This order is corrected pursuant to speaking to the minutes order dated 25 September 2025.
