By this contempt petition, the petitioner alleges contempt by the respondent Nos.1 and 2 of the orders dated 23rd June 2025 and 12th August 2025 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.8121 of 2025. The said order dated 23rd June 2025 is at Exhibit - 'A', page 16 of the petition. Vide order dated 23rd June 2025, this Court had directed the Competent Authority to take a decision within six weeks from the date of the order and to communicate the same to the petitioner.

It is not in dispute that the authority has taken a decision, albeit late.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the decision is not in accordance with law. 4.
We make it clear that the direction given by us, was only to take a decision. It is always open for the petitioner to challenge the decision taken by the Competent Authority by filing a separate proceeding. Hence, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw this contempt petition with liberty to file an appropriate proceeding seeking to challenge the decision taken by the Competent Authority pursuant to the order dated 23rd June 2025. 5.
Contempt Petition is accordingly disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed.

We make it clear, that we have not gone into the merits of decision taken by the Competent Authority and as such keep all contentions of all parties on merits open.
