An order passed on 27th March, 2024 by the Writ Court in Writ Petition No. 2184 of 2022, is the subject matter of this Contempt Petition. The University was directed to decide the proposal forwarded by the management within eight weeks, on its merits. No doubt, the University did not decide the proposal within eight weeks, but instead passed an order on the proposal on 13th September 2024, after a delay of around 45 days. Education Society and the Principal of the college. 2.

According to the Petitioner, both authorities have not conveyed the order to the Petitioner.

If the proposal of the management is rejected, the management, along with the Petitioner, can challenge the rejection order. Instead, the Petitioner has filed the present Petition under the Contempt of Courts Act, on 27th May, 2025.

We are of the view that there is no willful, deliberate, or intentional disobedience of the order, by the University, which was supposed to decide the proposal of the management. The order has been communicated to the management.

If the Petitioner-employee has not been informed of the said order by the management, the Petitioner may take up the matter with the management. As of now, the Petitioner or the management need to challenge the order of rejection of the proposal. 6.

In view of the above, this Contempt Petition is dismissed. ...2

Needless to state, if the Petitioner, the management, or both together, challenge the order dated 13th September 2024, rejecting the management's proposal, all contentions of the litigating parties are kept open.
