Mr. Wable, learned Counsel for the Applicant - wife submits that settlement talks are going on between the parties. The Applicant without prejudice to the rights and contentions had put forward an offer of Rs. 15,00,000/-. However, as talks were commenced, in order to put an end to the litigation, the Applicant even got ready to settle the dispute at Rs. 6,50,000/-. Mr. Wable, learned Counsel for the Applicant further submitted that even when the Applicant was ready to accept at Rs. 6,50,000/-, the Respondent backed out from the offer and stressed upon that a sum of Rs. 2,00,000/- should be adjusted towards Gold ornaments (stridhan) which according to the Respondent has been allegedly taken over by the Applicant.

Mr. Katneshwarkar, learned Counsel for the Respondent seeks a short accommodation in order to take instructions from his client whether the dispute can be put to quietus.
