The Applicant seeks transfer of Marriage Petition No. 509 of 2025, pending before the Civil Judge, Senior Division, Pune, to the Family Court at Solapur.

The application is primarily on the ground that the distance between the two cities is approximately 300 kilometers, requiring around six to seven hours of travel. The aforesaid contentions of the Applicant have not been controverted by the Respondent, as none has appeared on behalf of the Respondent despite service.

Considering the aforesaid aspects and the observations made by the Hon'ble Apex Court in N.C.V. Aishwarya vs. A.S. Saravana Karthik Sha1, wherein it has been held that the convenience of the wife must be considered while deciding an application for transfer, this Court finds merit in the present application.

In view of the above, a case is made out for transfer of the petition. Hence, the following order:

a) Marriage Petition No. 509 of 2025, pending before the Civil Judge, Senior Division, Pune, is directed to be transferred to the Family Court at Solapur.
