This Court vide order dated 24/8/2023 directed the Collector to decide the representation made by the petitioner dated 18/06/2023 regarding either refund of entire amount deposited by the petitioner or grant the time to excavate sand from river and further, it was directed that the Collector to verify whether the 54 brass transit pass is returned, if it is returned, he shall make payment to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Collector decided the representation of the petitioner and held that the petitioner is entitled to receive back the certain amount and for that, he wrote a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Forest Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai and sought clarification. Thus, according to this Court, there is a compliance made by the Collector. 3.
Since there is nothing to say that the Collector has willfully disobeyed the order of this Court, the present Contempt Petition stands dismissed.
