This is a Petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking an extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

It is seen that the Learned Arbitrator came to be appointed by an order dated November 29, 2023. By a letter dated March 25, 2025 the Learned Arbitrator has written to the Petitioner confirming his inability to conduct the arbitration proceedings and that he would unable to commence arbitration as scheduled.

3.

Consequently, taking into account the stage at which the Arbitral proceedings are placed, this Petition is finally disposed of extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of twelve months rounded upto June 30, 2026.
