These are the Petitions under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking an extension of mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal, which expired on March 13, 2025. 2.

1.ARP.215.2025(1).doc considering that there has already been an extension of mandate by this Court, the mandate is hereby extended by a period of one year. 3.

The parties have consensus on the period of extension, but reserve their right to raise their contentions about the jurisdiction of this Court, which would become relevant at the stage of Section 34 proceedings. No comment is being made at this stage in exercise of jurisdiction under Section 29A of the Act. That contention is fully left open.

In these circumstances, taking into account the stage at which the arbitral proceedings are placed, these Petitions are finally disposed of extending the mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year, rounding it up until October 31, 2026. 5.

All actions required to be taken pursuant to this order shall be taken upon receipt of a downloaded copy as available on this Court's website.
