1. The Registry to waive the office objections and register the matter.

2. The grievance in this contempt petition is that the Director of Higher Education had not taken a decision on creation of non teaching positions at the Goa University within the timeline specified in the judgment dated 12.03.2025. An affidavit in reply of the respondent 1st April, 2026

2 CP 15 2026 no.1 is placed on record along with a communication dated 22.09.2025 addressed to the Registrar of Goa University, wherein the Government's decision regarding the creation of non teaching positions at the University has been communicated. The decision, as stated in the communication is that the Government has not agreed to the creation of such non-teaching positions at the University.

3. In this view of the matter, we do not propose to proceed with the Contempt Petition. The Contempt Petition stands disposed of.

4. Needless to state that if the contempt petitioner is affected by this decision, it would be open to the petitioner, if so advised, to file a fresh Writ Petition taking up all available grounds to challenge, including the grounds raised in the earlier petition ie Writ Petition No.572/2024.
