2. Mr Shirodkar, the learned Additional Government Advocate in continuation of our earlier order would submit that the Transport Department is in the process of working out the modality so as to smoothen the flow of traffic, specifically during the peak hours and for that purpose it must necessarily collect the data on an average basis as too many passengers are travelling during this peak hours. He would however submit that the survey could not be completed because of the Ganesh Chaturthi as a result of which the schools were shut for a 17th September, 2025

PILWP 10 of 2025 while.

We expect the necessary survey to be carried out by the Department of Transport within a further period of two weeks. We also expect the Officials of the Transport Department to have an interaction with the respondent no.7 and work out a mechanism/a plan to ease the traffic during the peak hours as we must make it clear that both the Authorities are expected to act in public interest. List the petition on 08.10.2025.
