1. Heard the Petitioner in person and also Mr Shivan Desai, learned counsel for the Respondent No.7 as well as Mr Deep Shirodkar, learned counsel appearing for Respondent Nos.1 to 4, 8 to 10.

2. In this PIL petition, the concern expressed by the Petitioner is pertaining to the lack of proper transportation facilities for the students of DMC College and School. According to the Petitioner, due to the overcrowding in the buses, the students are facing many difficulties and even the girl students are being harassed and improperly touched 2nd February, 2026

PILWP 10 of 2025 in the crowded buses. In order to find a solution to the problem, a meeting of the stakeholders was held on 09.01.2026, which was also attended by the Petitioner.

3. Mr Desai, learned counsel for Respondent No.7 submits that after the filing of PIL petition, one additional bus service was started on the route and the same is running with 50% passengers since most of the students are availing private services. According to Mr Desai, adding more bus services on the route is neither technically feasible nor viable, as a result of which, such a decision is not possible at this point of time.

4. In view of the above, list the petition on 23.02.2026. In the meantime, Respondent No.7 to file a copy of the resolution in the registry. The Petitioner to examine the effect of the additional bus services, if provided on the route and make further submissions on the next date.
