APRIL 06, 2026 1) The present application is filed seeking transfer of petition bearing No.1792/2025, pending on the file of learned 3rd Joint Civil Judge Senior Division, Kalyan, District Thane to the learned Court of Principal Judge, Family Court, Nagpur. It is stated that a proceeding under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 being Criminal M.A.No.1524/2024, is filed before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate First Class at Nagpur, which is being regularly attended by respondenthusband. 2) The respondent-husband though served, has not entered appearance. Having regard to the general convenience of the applicant-wife and also to the fact that proceeding under the Domestic Violence Act was filed by the wife almost a year prior to the institution of the divorce petition by the respondenthusband, in the opinion of this Court, it would be expedient that the divorce proceedings be transferred from Kalyan to Nagpur. 3) In view of aforesaid, the application is allowed in the following terms :- KOLHE

2 10-mca 902.2025.odt (1) Petition No.1792/2025 is directed to be transferred from the file of learned 3rd Joint Civil Judge Senior Division, Kalyan, District Thane to the learned Court of Principal Judge, Family Court, Nagpur. (2) In the event the respondent-husband makes an application for appearance through video-conferencing, the same may be considered favourably and permission to appear through video-conferencing may be granted on such dates and at such stages as is deemed appropriate by the learned Family Court, Nagpur.
