After the punishment under the provisions of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules,1979 was awarded, the appeal has been preferred by the petitioner before the Hon'ble Governor on 20.05.2021 under Rule 18 of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 2001.

We are informed that the appeal is still not decided though the petitioner is a senior citizen. 3.

In this background, we deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to appear before the Appellate Authority on 03.03.2025. We request the Appellate Authority to decide the appeal of the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner before it.
