The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to make the payment of compensation of Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty Lakhs) in view of the Government Resolution dated 4th August, 2021, being the dependent of the deceased employee, Mr. Dilip Ganpatrao Tandulkar, who, according to the petitioner, expired while on duty during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A perusal of the application dated 16th April, 2025, which is at record page No.16, reveals that the petitioner has already approached respondent No.3 - Health Officer, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur, claiming such compensation; however, the said application has not yet been decided by respondent No.3.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to decide the petitioner's application dated 16th April, 2025, in view of

106.WP.433.2026 2/2 the Government Resolution dated 4th August, 2021, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 5.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter. 6.
