2.

Rule. Issue notice on rule, returnable forthwith. Learned AGP waives notice for respondent Nos. 1 and 2. Rule is made returnable forthwith. Heard finally by the consent of the parties. 3.

The order impugned is passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Tiwasa, Tah. Bhatkuli, on 10.11.2025, in pursuance to the order of this Court, passed in Writ Petition No. 3016/2025 on 17.06.2025. Even though learned Counsel for the petitioner raises specific ground that she was not heard in pursuance to the order, we find prima facie that the petitioner along with other persons aggrieved by the rejection of the en masse caste certificates, were present before the Sub Divisional Officer. The said observation finds a place in the impugned order. Admittedly, the caste certificate is cancelled by resorting to the powers under Section 4 of the Maharashtra Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Category (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Caste Certificate Act, 2000, against which a statutory appeal lies to the Caste Scrutiny Committee under Section 5 of the said Act. In

909 wp 513-2026.odt 3/3 that view of the matter, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appellate authority, if so advised, the petition is disposed of. 4.

Rule is made absolute in the above terms. No orders as to costs.
