IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

NAGPUR BENCH : NAGPUR WRIT PETITION NO.685/2025 (Jayshri Sheshrao Rane Vs. Sonare, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. M.V. Bute, Advocate for respondent Nos.1 and 2. Ms. S.S. Jachak, Addl.G.P. for respondent No.3. CORAM: NITIN W. SAMBRE & MRS.VRUSHALI V. JOSHI, JJ. DATED: 28.4.2025.

Heard.

2.

The prayer of the petitioner is for quashing and setting aside the order dated 30.1.2025 passed by the District Health Officer. By the said order, the petitioner was directed to produce the caste certificate as she was appointed from the reserved category i.e. Scheduled Tribe.

3.

Considering the claim put-forth by the petitioner, this Court has caused indulgence and passed an order dated 7.2.2025 thereby permitting the petitioner to appear before the respondent No.3 on 24.2.2025 and even thereafter a chance was given to the petitioner by the subsequent order dated 4.4.2025.

4.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner fairly concedes that the petitioner inspite of chances given by the aforesaid orders has not appeared before the authority for issuance of caste certificate. That being so, in our opinion, there is no substance in the petition. The writ petition is dismissed accordingly. No costs. (MRS.VRUSHALI V.JOSHI, J.) (NITIN W. SAMBRE, J.) Tambaskar.
