The petitioner is a Labor Co-operative Society and is seeking direction to the respondents to implement the provisions of the Government resolution dated 28.02.2024, which is on record at Page 18 (Annexure-B), regarding the effective implementation for providing reservation and allotment of specified work to the Labor Co-operative Societies like the present petitioner.

Perusal of the petition reveals that the petitioner has already approached to the respondent No.1 -Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra on 09.10.2024 thereby pointing out such non-compliance at the behest of the various departments and seeking direction to them for the proper implementation of the Government Policy pertaining to the Labor Co-operative Society like the petitioner.

The representation dated 09.10.2024 is on record at page 27 (Annexure E-1). Similar representation is also submitted, on 09.10.2024, to the Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department, which is on record at page 29 (Annexure E-2).

In view of the above, we direct the respondent No.1 Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra to decide the aforesaid representation/communication dated 09.10.2024 within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court.

The petitioner undertakes to produce copy of the order of this Court before the respondent No.1 within a period of one week from today.

The respondent No.1 is directed to decide the aforesaid representation in accordance with law and more specifically, considering the provisions of the Government Resolution dated 28.02.2024 issued by the Public Works Department.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated by the respondent No.1 to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of the decision. 9.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
