In the present petition, the following are the prayers made by the petitioner :

"i. Direct, the respondents to consider the proposal forwarded by the Respondent no.2 for regularisation of the petitioner, ii.

Direct the respondents to consider the service of the petitioner from 2015 to 2025 as regular employee and release the arrears of salary with increments and upto 7th pay commission, iii. Grant any other relief this Hon'ble Court deems fit and appropriate in the interest of justice, iv. Allow the instant writ petition."

The petitioner is working as Khansama (Cook) for last more than eight years, and since his name was not found in the list of 285 employees, who have been regularized, the recommendation was made by the Agricultural University to include the name of the petitioner in such list. Such proposal was made by the University in the month of April, 2015. However, admittedly, till date there is no decision. 3.

In that view of the matter, considering the fact that the proposal is pending with the Government, the purpose would be served if this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.1-State to take decision on such proposal submitted by the respondent No.2-University.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.1-State to take decision on the proposal submitted by the respondent No.2-University at record page no.52 (Annexure-VI), within a period of six weeks from the date of furnishing the copy of this order. Such decision shall be communicated to the petitioner by the respondent No.2-University within a period of two weeks from the date of the decision.
