It is claimed by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner has already deposited an amount of Rs.25,000/- in compliance with the order dated 22.01.2025. According to him, the petitioner is not required to deposit 10% of the penalty amount in the District Mineral Foundation Fund as there is no statutory support for that fund. There appears to be substance in the said submission.

As we were about to direct the release of the vehicle, the learned AGP has submitted that the petitioner can appear before the SDO on 05/05/2025 by executing a bond and in case, if such bond is executed, the vehicle shall be released immediately. Statement is accepted. 3.
