The petitioner was appointed on the post of Clerk-cum-Typist on 19th December, 2001 in the Revenue Department and after clearing the departmental examination, he was promoted on the post of Naib Tahsildar. The petitioner is seeking deemed date of promotion and a proposal to that effect is submitted to the State Government on 20th September, 2022, which is informed to be not decided till this date. It is also claimed that he is entitled for parity with the candidature of one Mr. S.G. Ujjainkar.

Since the proposal for grant of deemed date of promotion is pending with the respondent - State Government for a considerable period, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition by directing the respondent - State Government to decide the proposal for grant of deemed date of promotion submitted on 20th September, 2022 expeditiously and in any case within a period of four months from today.
