In light of the view expressed by Judgment dated 20/02/2024 while deciding the Writ Petition No.2495/2023 by the Division Bench of this Court, we are of the view that the impugned order dated 22/08/2022 cannot be said to be sustainable. As such, the same is hereby quashed and set aside.

We remit the matter back to the respondent No.2 - Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition), Yavatmal, who shall consider the application of the petitioner moved under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and decide the same expeditiously in any case, within a period of three months from the date of appearance of the petitioner. 3.

Petition stands partly allowed in above terms. No costs.
