Mr. Shende, learned Counsel for the Petitioner, seeks leave to amend the Petition to raise the additional ground in terms of Section 55 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965 (for short the "Act of 1965").

Leave is granted. Amendment be carried out in two working days.

List the matter on 02.05.2025 at the request of Mr. Shende, learned Counsel for the Petitioner. 5.

It is contended, that the provision under Section 55 of the Act of 1965 which relates to consideration

2 1.WP.2267-2025.odt of no confidence motion as contained in earlier, has been deleted by way of an amendment in 2020, there is no provision in the entire statute to consider a motion for no confidence.

The statement is made at 12.32 p.m., by which time, probably the no confidence motion must have been decided one way or the other.
