Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned G.P./ Sr. Advocate for the respondent/State. 2.

The petitioner has approached this Court alleging misconduct on the part of the police as well as the revenue officers, and seeks a direction to initiate appropriate departmental inquiry against the said erring officers. 3.

A perusal of the petition reveals that all the reliefs sought before this Court have already been prayed for by the petitioner before the higher authorities, namely the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and the Secretary, Revenue and Forest Department, Government of Maharashtra, and Director General of Police, Mumbai. The complaint dated 16.06.2025 submitted by the petitioner to the said authorities is on record at Page 126. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, nd.thawre

2/2 despite the passage of sufficient time, the aforesaid complaint has neither been inquired into nor decided by the respondents.

Accordingly, we direct the respondent No.2Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Mumbai to look into the aforesaid complaint dated 16.06.2025, submitted by the petitioner and decide the same within four months from the date of receipt of this order.

We direct the respondent No.2 to treat the present petition also as a representation submitted by the petitioner and decide the same accordingly, in view of the grounds raised in the petition, in accordance with law. 7.

The respondent no.2 is directed to grant opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties while taking decision upon such representation/s.

The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to furnish copy of this order so also the copy of the writ petition to the respondent No.2 within two weeks from today.

The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of such decision. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No order as to costs.
