The grievance of the petitioner is that the Inquiry Officer rejected the application for grant of permission to engage advocate as a defence representatives. It is his submission that under Regulation 44 of Vidarbha Konkan Gramin Bank (Officers and SKNair

80-wp-2841-25.odt Employees Service Regulations, 2013), it is permissible to engage the legal practitioner to defend the inquiry proceedings, with prior permission of the competent authority.

As such, considering the issue involved in the matter, Inquiry Officer is directed to adjourn the matter, if the application moved by the petitioner for adjournment till further order of this Court.
