DATE : 22.04.2026 The controversy involved in the instant petition is a challenge to the 'No Confidence Motion' and the order dated 09.04.2025 passed by the Collector, Gadchiroli, dismissing the dispute application under Section 35(3)(b) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959. As a result of the impugned order, the petitioner is not holding the post of the 'Sarpanch'. 2.

It is pointed out that the tenure of the Gram Panchayat has already come to an end in January, 2026. 3.

In view of this, the grievance raised in the instant petition does not survive and the petition deserves to be dismissed as having become infructuous. 4.
