On 03.07.2025, the Registry was directed to examine whether the petition will lie before the Single Bench or the Division Bench. The Registry has reproduced Rule 18(3) of the Bombay High Court Appellate Side Rules, 1960, without disclosing whether the order under question is passed by the quasi judicial authority.

The matter pertains to allotment of shops. The petitioners approached the Divisional Joint Registrar for cancellation of allotment.

It appears that the respondent No.2 has allotted shops and lands to various people. The petitioners challenged the allotment on the count of breach of terms and conditions. Thus the genesis of the matter is allotment of plots in breach of the terms and conditions.

The Registrar (Judicial) shall examine whether the petition shall lie before the Single Bench.
