Having regard to the provisions of Sections 51 and 52 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, as it is the case of the petitioner that there is a failure on the part of the Village Panchayat to remove the encroachment, the petitioner has liberty to approach before the Tahsildar.

In case the petitioner approaches the Tahsildar with a grievance based on the resolution passed by the Village Panchayat, the Tahsildar shall look into the same and communicate the decision taken within a period of eight weeks to the petitioner.
