Heard learned Counsel for the parties for some time. 2.

The controversy is about the alleged forgery of signatures of petitioner no.1, who was Sarpanch, on the demand notices which are at page nos.23, 24 and 25 of the instant petition. Respondent no.3-Secretary, Gram Panchayat Jafarabad appeared in person and tried to show the bill book containing office copies of demand bills issued to the villagers of the said village.

Respondent no.3 seeks time to engage a lawyer and file appropriate affidavit.

Today, learned Counsel for petitioners is allowed to have inspection of the said bill book during the course of the day and return the original bill book to respondent no.3.
