Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 makes a statement that the proposal for appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground has already been forwarded to the respondent no.3 on 12.02.2025. However, despite the lapse of about eleven months, there is no decision on the said proposal. 3.
In the light of the above referred facts and prayer clause (d) made in the present petition, we are of the opinion that purpose would be served, if the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.3-The Director of Marketing, Pune, to take a decision on the proposal submitted by the respondent no.1-Secretary, Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Hingna.

Accordingly, we pass the following order:
(i) The writ petition is disposed of with directions to the respondent no.3-The Director of Marketing, Pune, to take a decision on the proposal submitted by the respondent no.1-Secretary, Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Hingna in relation to grant of approval to the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground. Such decision shall be taken by the respondent no.3 within a period of six
919-wp-3633-2025.odt 2 weeks from the date of production of copy of this order. (ii) The petitioner is at liberty to file written submissions, if any, against the adverse findings recorded in the Resolution dated 24.01.2025 of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Hingna. Such submissions shall be filed by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today.
(iii) The respondent no.3 shall take into consideration the written submissions, if any, filed by the petitioner, while taking decision on the proposal forwarded by the respondent no.1.
(iv) Decision taken on such proposal shall be communicated by the respondent no.3 to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of such decision.

With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
