By way of instant petition, the petitioner challenges the order dated 30-05-2025 passed by the Collector, Gondia, thereby confirming the No Confidence Motion passed against the petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was directly elected as Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Katangi (Bk) on reserved post of Scheduled Caste (Woman) category. He submits that the No Confidence Motion is passed and the impugned order confirming the same is passed in gross disregard to the provisions of Rule 2(ii) of the Bombay Village Panchayats Sarpanch and Up-sarpanch (No Confidence Motion) Rules, 1975. It is submitted that the petitioner was directly

2 3733.25.odt elected as Sarpanch and in absence of service of copy of notice unaccompanied with any requisition defeats the very purpose of the provision.

In view of this, issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 04-08-2025.
