The contention is that the request of petitioner No.1 for substitution of her name in place of her mother petitioner No.2 in the waiting list for appointment on compassionate basis has been rejected.

The issue is covered by the judgment of the Full Bench of this Court in the case of Kalpana wd/o Vilas Taram and anr. Vs. State of Maharashtra and ors. [2024 (4) Mh.L.J. (F.B.) 312].

In view of the above, issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 10/10/2025.

Learned AGP waives notice for the State.

In addition to regular mode, the petitioner is permitted to serve the respondents by all modes as permissible in law.
