Heard Shri A.K. Waghmare, learned counsel for the petitioners, and Shri S.S. Ghate, learned counsel for the respondent Nos.1 and 2. 2.
The petitioner No.1 is a registered trade union espousing the cause of the petitioner Nos.2 to 6 and is seeking direction to the respondents through this Court for appointing the petitioner Nos.2 and 3 on compassionate basis.

The contention is that the case of the petitioners is governed by the settlement policy of the year 1984. The petitioners and especially the petitioner No.1 has already claimed such relief of appointment on compassionate basis with the respondents vide various representations which are placed at record pages 154 to 161, Annexure-E. 4.
Shri A.K. Waghmare, learned counsel for the petitioners, makes a statement that the respondents have not decided the aforesaid representations and accordingly the claim of the petitioners for appointment on compassionate basis.

Accordingly, we dispose of the present writ petition with the direction to the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to decide the representations of the petitioners are record pages 154 to 161, Annexure-E, in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of this order.

The respondent Nos.1 and 2 are directed to consider the representations so also the grounds raised in the present writ petition while taking decision thereon.

The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
