SEPTEMBER 22, 2025 1) The petitioners have challenged order dated 09/09/2025 passed by respondent No.3 Collector under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949 more particularly Section 142(1) thereof.

2) Chapter 17 Rule 18 (20) of the Bombay High Court Appellate Side Rules, 1960 provides that challenge to the orders passed under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949 shall lie before the Single Bench as appointed by the Hon'ble the Chief Justice.

3) In the present case the orders have been passed under the provisions of Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949. As such, the petition shall lie before the Single Judge. Accordingly, list the matter before the appropriate Bench.
