Learned Advocate for the petitioners points out that the respondents have issued circular addressed to all the universities dated 01.09.2025, mentioning thereby that in case the post of principals and teachers is not filled in, an action under Section 120 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, may be initiated. In view of this, learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioner society apprehends that, during pendency of the petition, the respondents will take a decision adverse to the petitioner society. 4.

Having regard to this, by way of interim relief, it is directed that, during pendency of this petition, respondent No.2 shall not take any action against the petitioner society under Section 120 of

List this petition for further consideration on 19th January 2026.
