By this petition, the petitioner is praying for regularization of his encroachment over Gairan land. Considering the prayer clause and the correspondence earlier made by the Collector, seeking report in this matter, we are of the opinion that it would be appropriate to direct the Collector/respondent No.3 to treat the present petition as representation of the petitioner and take decision on the same within six weeks from today.

Accordingly, we direct respondent No.3/ Collector, Washim to take decision on the prayers made by the petitioner in the present petition by treating the present petition as representation.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of the decision.

The petitioner undertakes to supply the copy of this petition as well as this order to the Collector within two weeks from today.

The writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No order as to costs. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
