Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents.

The grievance of the petitioners is that the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad Yavatmal refused to release the pending as well as regular salary of the petitioners w.e.f. 01/01/2024 on the ground that the petitioners have not acquired TET Examination by 30/03/2019, which is the cut-off date to acquire the said qualification. However, in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Anjuman Ishaat-E-Taleem Trust v. The State of Maharashtra and others (Civil Appeal No.1385 of 2025 and connected Appeals), the period for acquiring TET Qualification is extended by two years from the date of KHUNTE

In view of the above cited judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court, the reason for refusing to release the pending as well as regular salary of the petitioners does not exist. As such, the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad Yavatmal is hereby directed to grant approval for releasing the pending as well as regular salary of the petitioners after verification within one month. The petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
