Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

Considering the innocuous prayer made in the writ petition, we feel it appropriate to dispose of the petition at the admission stage.

The petitioner, who is working with the respondent No.1, was appointed on a post reserved for VJ(A)NT, has been asked to submit validity certificate of belonging to Chhapparband caste.

The contention is that the validity claim of the petitioner is pending before the respondent No.2Committee since 2009 and till date the claim of the Diwale

2 wp8375.25.odt 2/2 petitioner has not been decided by the respondent No.2Committee. We find it appropriate to direct the respondent No.2-Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, received by the Committee on 21/04/2009, within a period of six months from today.

Meanwhile, we direct the respondent No.2 No.1- (Corrected as per Court's Order dated 16.01.2026 in CAW No.76/26) Committee Sub Divisional Magistrate not to take any coercive action against the petitioner for want of caste validity. In view of above, the petition stands disposed of. No costs.
