In spite of service, respondent Nos. 1 and 2 have not chosen to appear. The facts as stated in the petition are that on 30.06.2020, the petitioner retired from the post of Medical Officer on attaining the age of superannuation. Since, according to the petitioner, he was entitled to pay scale as per the Government Resolution dated 17.10.2014, and that same was not granted, he was constrained to approach this Court by filing a Writ Petition No. 2375/2019. This Court vide order dated 03.08.2023 directed the respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to decide the petitioner's representation within four weeks.
5.
It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner and as depicted from the record of the matter, the petitioner's pay scale was corrected as per the 6th and 7th Pay Commissions, and his grade pay of Rs.6600/- was enhanced. Accordingly an entry was recorded in his service book on 04.09.2023. However, since arrears of salary for the period from 01.01.2006 to 30.06.2020 remained unpaid, the petitioner made repeated requests for the same with the respondents. The learned Counsel for the petitioner points out that
wp 8378-2025.odt 3/3 the last of such representation is made on 29.08.2025, wherein the references to the earlier application are seen. It is the submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioner that in spite of such repeated requests, no action has been taken on the said representations, and the respondents are sitting over it. As we have already stated that in spite of service, respondents have not chosen to appear, we deem it fit to direct the said respondents to decide the said representation dated 29.08.2025 along with other earlier representations as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks from the date of this order.
6.
The petitioner to appear before the respondents with a copy of the order on 26.02.2026 and apprise the respondents of this order.
