CORAM : ANIL S. KILOR AND RAJ D. WAKODE, JJ. DATED : 23rd January, 2026 Heard Shri A. J. Salway, learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner and appoint him as Sweeper against the post of his deceased grandfather Kanhiyaa Gulab Dabode.

Perusal of the petition would reveal that the respondentDean, Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur is already seized with the matter. While considering the application of the petitioner, the respondent has issued communication dated 10/07/2024 thereby calling upon the petitioner to submit legal heir certificate so that the application can be decided. It is submitted that in compliance of the aforesaid communication dated 10/07/2024, the petitioner has approached the competent Court for seeking the legal heir certificate by filing MJC No.79/2024 and the aforesaid application is allowed vide order dated 18/01/2025 and legal heir certificate has been issued to the petitioner. The petitioner has produced the aforesaid legal heir certificate before the respondent but the claim of the petitioner is

In view of above, we direct the respondent-Dean, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Nagpur to decide the application dated 15/12/2022 which is at record page No.11 (Annexure-A) submitted by the petitioner and take the aforesaid application to its logical end by deciding the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court. Decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks therefrom. 4.

With aforesaid directions, writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
